expandable table This simple custom expandable table can be used as a dining table, or large work space. The table can easily seat 4 when closed, or 10 when open. Made from salvaged wood scraps, the simple form allows the materials to be the focus, and gives you a green, sustainable focal point for the room. This sides of the table are built from rough scrap lumber and plywood, with the top built from scrap boards covered in resin. The resin top allows us to maintain the unique qualities of the wood (instead of sanding them away), while still providing a smooth surface for daily use. The second leaf is hidden under the top surface. The cabinets in this photo do not support the table (it is self supporting), but fit easily within its dimensions.
